Vegetable Stew Recipe


This is an easy to prepare vegetable stew recipe which goes well with appam, bread or rice. An easy to make vegetable stew recipe is a family favorite and a perfect recipe to treat cold and flu. Cooking time – 15 mins



Carrots – 150 gm

French beans – 100 gm

Cauliflower – 100 gm

Peas – 100 gm

Potatoes – 150 gm

Cinnamon stick – 3gm

Cardamom – 4-5 

Ginger – 10 gm

Onion – 100 gm

Fennel Powder – 5 gm

Garam  masala – 2 gm

Curry leaves – 2 sprigs

Coconut milk – 300 ml

Vegetable oil – 30 ml

Rock salt to taste


Method of preparation

  1. Heat the oil, add the chopped onions, ginger, curry leaves, and green chilies.
  2. Add the whole spices, boiled vegetables and shake well.
  3. Add water, turmeric, coconut milk, salt, fennel powder, garam masala and boil it.
