That Ayurveda believes that you tend to gain weight due to the factors that include an absence of exercise, oversleeping, unhealthy diet and way of living?

Therefore Ayurveda recommends a diet plan which is an eating plan that provides guidelines for when you eat, what you eat, and how you eat to boost your health, prevent or manage a disease, and maintain wellness.

11 Important Tips To Follow Ayurvedic Way of Eating

Here are 11 Ayurveda tips that can naturally and gently guide you toward holistic and healthy weight loss, without the use of chemicals, processed food, or extreme diets.

1. Drink Plenty Of Water

Drink a large glass of warm water with squeezing half or one lemon in it as a part of first thing in the morning. This boosts the entire digestive system and gives you a fresh start to your day.

2. Include Physical Activity

The Daily morning ritual should include exercising at least 5 times a week. Exercising enough to break a sweat is suggested as a daily morning practice for healthy weight loss. Aiming for 45 to 60 minutes is ideal, but at least 30 minutes is advised.

3. Relax Your Mind

Relaxation is very important to calm your body and mind. Ayurvedic practices like yoga, meditation, and Qigong gives you that relaxation that your body needs to function properly.

This helps to alleviate stress, one of the main causes of weight gain. It also puts us in a more mindful and present state of mind, allowing us to be better decision-makers as our day proceeds.

4. Maintain Regular Interval

Healthy Eat only when your previous meal has been digested. Guidelines suggest that you do not eat within three hours of your previous meal or snack and you should not go without food for more than six hours.

Many Ayurvedic practitioners also recommend that you eat a modest breakfast and a larger, satisfying lunch. Dinner may or may not be consumed based on your hunger levels.

5. Indulge In Tastes

Intake of six rasas or tastes. At each meal, you will incorporate foods that are sweet, salty, sour, bitter, pungent and astringent.

You begin your meal with foods that have a sweet taste (like sweet fruit), then consume food that salty (such as seafood) and sour (citrus fruit, for example), then finish with foods that are pungent (like onions or peppers), astringent (such as green apples or tea), and bitter (celery, kale, or green leafy vegetables).

6. Eat With Concentration

Avoid talking, laughter and other distractions to fully appreciate your meal and the wholesome benefits it provides.

7 Eat Slowly

Enough that you can savor the taste of the food.

8. Healthy Food As Per Season And Region

Ayurveda, it is advisable that during summer season try to eat high carbs fruits and fresh vegetables that can keep us cool and energize. In winters eat nuts, seeds, meats, and cheese that keeps us warm.

In spring eat fruits like berries, green leafy vegetables, and sprouts to clean yourself. When we eat as much organic and local food as possible, and feast on seasonal, whole foods, our bodies naturally digest and assimilate nutrients.

9. Count Your Calories

Eat the proper quantity of food. Be aware of hunger signals and signs of fullness to avoid overeating.

10. Movement After Meals

Move a little after each meal. Going for short walks after each meal stimulates peristalsis and digestion.

It’s most important to go for a walk after lunch, preferably 10 to 20 minutes at a moderate pace.

If possible, lie on your left side after walking for 10 minutes to further aid in digestion.

11. Follow a Routine

Following a routine where going to bed early and rising early is recommended in Ayurvedic science, Ayurveda explains this activity as one of the healthiest activity for weight management.

Going to bed with the sun, and rising with the sun creates the right kind of hormonal balance in the body. Try to sleep for 8 hours to wake up to stress-free morning.

We might think that following the Ayurveda way of eating is easy, the fact remains that it involves immense determination and discipline to be able to follow it to the T. Nevertheless, the results are worth disciplining oneself for!
